Saturday 1^st August Nuisance neighbour yelling at his phone and running up and down stairs all afternoon. Monthly food delivery from a major supermarket in the evening.

Sunday 2^nd August S Werd open mic poetry /spoken word event at the Vinyl Tap pub in Preston.

Monday 3rd I attended a diabetes structured education programme - a one day workshop on dietary and exercise advice for Diabetics, which gave me some useful information on handling my situation. Afterwards, I went in a bar called The Anderton Arms in Fulwood, next door to the Millennium Hall used for the advice event.

Wednesday 5^th Vinyl Tap quiz night, where we faced defeat by one of the other teams but a great night as always.

Saturday 8^th The eve of my 10^th anniversary of living in Preston, so various friends were offering to join me on a pub crawl across the city on the Sunday. One mate, Steven, visiting the city anyway from Lichfield, was here from the Saturday so we met up for a short pub crawl before the main event. We called in The Guild Ale House, headed to Hopwoods, who refused us entry because I was wearing non-sports shoe trainers???? and watched a very good live band in Hogarths.

Sunday 9^th

The big pub crawl itself, and with a few people dropping out for family and health reasons, we were down to seven. We hit five bars, The Old Vic, The New Conintental, Winkley Street Ale House, The Black Horse and, after a meal in the Frydays chippy, Vinyl Tap. A huge thanks to everyone who came along and the staff & patrons of bars visited.

Wednesday 12^th Quiz night at Vinyl Tap and our full team one by just a single point. We enjoyed our winning prize beer there.

Thursday 13^th  I completed the photo gathering stage of my next pub signs book thanks to great support and photo donations by several friends. The long, slow text editing process is now underway for a commissioned book that may be out next year.
