Who The Heck Is Arthur Chappell?

He's the bloke writing all this stuff. Seriously, he's a writer, performance poet, pub signs collector, atheist, Humanist, and photographer. Arthur was born in Manchester in the UK in 1962, but now resides in Preston, Lancashire. He is he ex-member of an extremist religious cult, The Divine Light Mission (aka Elan Vital, aka The Prem Rawat Foundation). Arthur escaped their clutches in 1985.
Arthur has been an English Civil War Re-enactor, and a radio presenter, a dramatist, and various fancy dress characters. Arthur is a performance poet and a writer, historian, public speaker, etc. He has a particular love of science fiction, horror, fantasy and beer. His blogs will touch on all these topics.
At the height of the Covid lockdown in the UK, Arthur was struck with the other big bad C - Cancer, bowel cancer to be precise. Fortunately, surgery removed it, along with most of Arthur's colon, so he now sports a stoma for life with ever changing bags.
Arthur has now written two books on pub signs, with a third commissioned for 2027-8.
