Narcissistic about his achievements, Death shares his story as an exclusive to terrified journalist, Brian Skuter, torn between elation that Death is giving him such a scoop and fear that one wrong move will bring about his end. The unlikely duo are catered for by the short sighted and befuddled

From the outside, judges, painfully aware that Death is back in Megacity One, struggle to find the missing reporter, oblivious that he is actively willingly putting his life on the line for such a scoop. As much a satire on media obsession with celebrity and sensation as a macabre back story. Though we see the development of Death’s brutally nihilistic philosophy that all life is a crime punishable by death (Death).
